The award-winning WVU Executive Master’s in Business Administration (EMBA) program returns to the nation’s capital for its popular Washington Experience April 12-15, and the WVU College of Business and Economics invites National Capital Area Chapter (NCAC) WVU Alumni to join faculty and students at a networking reception on Monday, April 13.
The reception is upstairs at Thunder Grill at Union Station starting at 5:30 p.m. WVU EMBA faculty and 75 students will be in attendance. We hope you will join NCAC leaders at this enjoyable event.
While in D.C. the faculty and students tour the U.S. Capitol, U.S. Supreme Court, and other sites and hear from Members of Congress, Congressional staff, and experts in the fields of healthcare, finance, government relations and international affairs. The program is organized by the WVU Center for Executive Education.
NCAC Board member Mike Fulton has expertly moderated an hour-long panel discussion on the importance of government relations and advocacy for the past five years, and we will be on again the morning of Tuesday, April 14th. Joining him this year will be WVU graduates and government experts Rick French, who represents
WVU at the Hall of States; Gene Irisari of Texas Instruments; and Craig Sharman of Tyco International.
Led by Dr. Elizabeth Vitullo, Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs, the online Executive MBA program at West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics recently received its third national ranking by U.S. News & World Report, jumping six slots to 25th in the 2015 rankings. Methodology criteria used by the U.S. News & World Report included student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
Residencies are one opportunity that students have to interact with instructors and fellow classmates. One of these PhD tenure-track faculty, Dr. David Dawley, who teaches the Global Strategy class will accompany the students during this experiential learning experience. Also joining the group will be Carrie Wood, Director of Marketing & Recruitment, EMBA Programs, and the staff of the WVU Center for Executive Education.
